Perhaps many will agree that printed copies of photographs cannot be compared to digital photographs. For them, Polaroid, once the market leader, has unveiled a compact instant photo printer.
The device called Polaroid Zip is a compact printer with dimensions of 7, 4 x 12 cm and a mass of 128 g. It can print small color photos from iPhone, iPad or Android devices connected via Bluetooth or NFC. For this, a special mobile application has been created that allows the user to edit the picture before printing. You can adjust settings such as brightness and contrast, create collages, add stickers and apply 12 different filters to your photos.
Instead of ink, Polaroid Zip uses special paper with embedded dye crystals. When different areas are heated, the color of the dye changes, forming an image. In this way, according to Polaroid, a high-quality, full-color image is obtained without cartridges, ribbons or toner. The device is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, one charge of which will be enough to print 25 pictures.
The Polaroid Zip will go on sale in the first half of 2015. The price of the issue is $ 129.99, excluding delivery.
