Internet giant Google seems to be preparing the second generation of Google Glass augmented reality glasses. Information about the secret device was found in the database of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
The device with the model number A4R-GG1 was discovered on the FCC website by foreign journalists and the fact that it is not classified as a smartphone, nor as a tablet computer or media device, gave reason to assume that we are talking about the second generation of Google Glass glasses. If so, they will be equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery and are endowed with support for dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 LE with low energy consumption. When the new Google Glass will go on sale is still unknown.
As a reminder, in January 2015, Google announced that Google Glass had been taken out of the experimental department of Google X into a separate project. At the same time it was reported that the second generation of smart glasses would allegedly be developed from scratch, and it would appear on the market only after the company's management was completely satisfied with them. And testing of new glasses, unlike their successors, will take place in the strictest secrecy.
