Windows 10 can now receive phone calls on PC

Microsoft has announced the addition of support for phone calls via the Your Phone app in the latest build of Win 10. So far, only a narrow circle of insiders can test it, but there is no doubt that the option will be included in the basic functionality of the application. All it needs to get it working is a smartphone with Android 7 Nougat or higher, a Bluetooth-enabled PC, and Windows 10 build 18362.356.

The innovation is a logical increase in the integration of Android and Windows. In the summer, we saw the ability to receive text messages and various notifications on the PC, now it’s the turn to make calls. As stated in the Microsoft blog, the following options will be available to users:

  • Phone call from PC using the contact list in the smartphone itself;
  • Reject calls or forward them to voicemail;
  • Viewing the call history, the ability to quickly call back the found numbers from a PC;
  • Easy call switching between PC and smartphone.
