The Terraplanter startup (New York) has developed a hydroponics-based technology of the same name, which allows you to grow plants without soil and boxes. The system is based on special ceramic vessels in which plants can grow without soil.
The walls of the Terraplanter vessels are made porous and embossed. This allows them to retain seeds or roots of already germinated plants and does not require the use of soil. The water poured into the vessel with fertilizers is gradually absorbed into its walls, providing plants with the necessary amount of moisture and minerals without the need for regular maintenance.
Terraplanter is listed on Kickstarter and has raised over $ 5 million so far. You can buy a home garden for as little as $ 59. Terraplanter will begin shipping in October 2020.
