Russian scientists have developed an inhaler to help fight coronavirus

The coronavirus epidemic has significantly boosted the efforts of scientists to create new, more effective medicines and devices. One of the newest Russian developments is the PM&HM inhaler. According to the press service of the Russian Venture Company, a number of serious diseases will fall into the "zone of its defeat", including - which is very important - coronavirus pneumonia.

A serious drawback of currently existing inhalers is a very limited "radius" of action: up to 65% of the medicinal aerosol may not reach the site of inflammation, settling in the upper respiratory tract or the tube of the device.

In contrast to them, the new inhaler injects an aerosol just before the user's inhalation, due to which the drug is delivered to the "address" - to the diseased organ with virtually no loss.

The device is currently being tested to obtain the required certification. In the future, inhalers will be delivered to state medical institutions. They can also be purchased for individual use at a price of 3, 000 rubles.
