Russian scientist creates a superbattery for gadgets

Currently in the field of creating mobile power supplies there is a real struggle for primacy. The most modern technologies are being used, and the usual lithium-ion batteries will soon become a thing of the past.

Russian scientists have also announced their claims to leadership. Perm physicist Aleksey Sosunov is developing a new generation battery - a supercapacitor based on carbon nanomaterial. It charges faster, has increased energy consumption and is capable of receiving high currents. At the same time, the power source is extremely portable.

Supercapacitors are one of the most promising areas of electrical engineering, where Alexey Sosunov has far surpassed his colleagues from other countries. He hopes that smartphones, lasers and drones will soon start working from his superbattery.

Alexey's project won the competition of the Fund for the Promotion of Innovations and received a grant of 500, 000 rubles.
