The Times' 100 Most Significant Inventions

The experts of the famous magazine The Times presented a new rating. This time they made the TOP-100 of the most significant inventions over the past hundred years.

The rating contains one hundred of the most significant inventions over the past century that have changed the world and our lives for the better. There is also a zipper, introduced by Gideon Sundback in 1913, and a ballpoint pen, released for the first time in 1938, and other useful "gadgets" without which we can no longer imagine our life. So, in the ranking you can see a radio, a toaster, a vacuum cleaner, a hair dryer, an electric drill, a lighter, a clock, a camera, an alarm clock, a power steering and a TV. The experts of The Times did not forget about the Internet, invented back in 1969.

They also included modern mobile devices such as the iPhone, iPad and PlayStation game consoles on the list. There was also a place for the social microblogging service Twitter.
