Nectome will kill you so you can live forever

Nectome is a Silicon Valley startup funded by Y Combinator, a venture capital fund known as a business incubator for small IT companies. The goal of the startup is to use cryogenic technologies to preserve the human body or brain for an indefinite period of time until the technologies of its "return to life" appear.

Such services are not uncommon lately. Many "cryogenic" companies offer potential clients for a lot of money to freeze the body after death.

In contrast, Nectome offers "freezing" while still alive with the help of a chemical cocktail that turns a living brain into a piece of ice, which theoretically will keep the neural connections in this form until a happy resurrection. In other words, the company is proposing to kill you in order to keep your brain in top condition.

In fact, the technology offered by Nectome is a form of euthanasia legalized in the state of California. The project is designed, first of all, for doomed patients who are invited to voluntarily leave this life in this way in the hope that someday they will be "woken up".

The initiators of Nectome are trying to get guarantees from state law enforcement agencies that their company will not be closed. At the same time, anyone who wishes, having paid $ 10, 000, will be immediately included in the coveted list of those awaiting resurrection.
