Private homes account for about half of all energy consumed in Europe. When looking for energy efficiency, homeowners are sometimes confronted with highly conflicting information. They were helped by the Fraunhofer Engineering Institute, which deals with projects in the field of human activity and management technology.
Institute specialists have developed an application for the smartphone ENBUS. Thanks to him, home owners have an affordable tool with which they can evaluate energy saving measures and choose the best option for themselves.
The use of the application is also beneficial in that homeowners receive almost free qualified advice, which is quite expensive directly from specialists.
The appendix discusses all sorts of options for the types of buildings and their location. In this regard, users are offered various models for saving energy through the use of modern building materials, a list of which also contains the appendix.
The ENBUS app is already available for iPhone and iPad and will be expanded to other platforms in the future.
